The Mini Sweeper can be used on lots of different surfaces and can pick up almost anything. We needed to show as much cleaning variety as possible and I worked with the director to accomplish this.

Body By Jake "Bodystrider"

Shot on 35mm, this is a commercial/CTA within an infomercial for the BBJ Bodystrider. The show itself was shot on a stage with 4 isoed video cameras capturing Jake, a lot people exercising with the machine, and an audience. The producers wanted the CTA to look totally different and this is what we came up with.

The people that make WD-40 developed this product as a solution for cleaning almost everything in your home. The spot featured, Richard Karn, late of the show "Home Improvement." We used a Panasonic HDX-900 shooting @ 24psf/1080i.

Franklin Mint "King Tut Mask"

I worked on a series of spots for the Franklin Mint that featured our "little" guide introducing us to all their great products. We shot him on a green screen stage. The background plates were all miniature sets with the products displayed within them. Most of the time we shot with two cameras so we could see the spatial relationship between our green world and our miniature world. The best part for me was lighting all the miniature back ground sets. For this one I was thinking of the 1950's version of "The Ten Commandments".

Shooting with 2/3 inch chip cameras always makes it difficult to place the backgrounds out of focus but that was the goal here. We used most of the length of the stage to get this look.

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. This was a fairly straight forward green screen shoot except for the the profile shot where you see all six players. The original idea was to have each person electronically fly into place. But we wanted to keep the relationship between each person as correct as possible. That meant we had to line everyone up, mark everyone, and then shoot everyone separately. This took a lot of time and effort. In post, it was decided that it wasn't necessary to fly everyone in and the original effect was greatly diminished!
