Food usually looks best if shot close in order to see all the incredible detail and color in it. The beautiful looking food is designed and prepped by a food stylist and it's the DP's job to make sure it looks as good as it can. Some of the shots in this montage were made with an Innovision Lens on the camera in order to get places a normal lens can't.

Junket Montage

I worked for FIRST MEDIA on press junkets for many studios including Sony, Columbia, Castle Rock, Fox, and MGM. They are an unnatural setting that actors are put in to help them publicize their most recent film release. They sit in a room all day and have to speak to as may as forty reporters, who are shuttled in and out of their room with military precision by studio publicists, after spending just a few minutes with them. With as many as six rooms to supervise per junket my job was to light each room for the two camera interviews, oversee camera placement , and - most important of all - make sure the talent looked good!
